Distribution

White Wagtail   Motacilla alba

The species occurs individually irregularly, but apparently nearly annually. Most individuals probably arrive in connection with the spring migration in May. These birds often survive and are staying until the end of July. Some observations are recorded in August and early September. The species has been found breeding once, when a single female bird in Ny-Ålesund built her nest and laid six eggs.
