Barn Swallow   Hirundo rustica
The species appears to arrive annually in Svalbard, individually, or up to three individuals gathered, during the spring migration in May. Some of these individuals survive and can be observed until July. There are also recordings from August which might be arrivals connected to the autumn migration. One extremely late observation from October has been recorded on Bjørnøya.
